FOUNDING LORE (Start Here)
It is the year 2167 in Wintermoon City, and technology has advanced to the point where human cybernetic enhancement is commonplace in the underground community. The nefarious technocrats that control Wintermoon City, the Kaze Collective, make life on the streets a brutal existence.
Teens are forced to fight and steal to survive. Alone they struggle to get by, but together…they just might make it. That is why these cybernetically enhanced street punks came together to form the Saiba Gang. These eccentric rebels are bound to have some adventures. They might even be the only force that can topple the system and overthrow the Kaze Collective.
One hundred years ago, the Kaze Collective arrived on their airships bringing a swift and fiery death to the people of Wintermoon Valley. Thus began the Kaze’s brutal oppression of our people. Once free, living simple and sincere lives, we are now the cattle of the Kaze, working to death in the mines of the mountains surrounding our city. As slaves, we extract and process the minerals that fuel the Kaze Collective’s campaign to bring the entire world under its digital fist.
After their victory in that swift and merciless battle, the Kaze Collective immediately began constructing their dark tower, the Servo, in the center of the city. Protected by an electric force field, it is here that they live and it is also where they keep the Chain, the untouchable system that knows everything, links everyone, and from which no one can escape. They track and control all our movements. They know everything about us and control every aspect of our lives, or so they think.
What they don’t know is that the Saiba Gang has been working in the shadow of the Servo, to create a system that links the gang together, day and night. The Saiba use it to communicate secretly. This is how they coordinate their attacks on the Kaze, and soon, when it is ready, it could mean the end of the citizen’s oppression. There is hope, but only if the Gang can stop squabbling and unite in our common cause to be free people once again.
